I forgot to post this earlier because Pokemon Emerald Rogue v2 is really good and ate my "being-on-an-emulator" time, but with my going through different GBA games to see how they felt on my phone, I loaded up one that was new to me and one that was very familiar. Those being Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis and Super Robot Wars J.

Now, I've played a good few SRW games. I like the series. I know what kind of strategy game it's trying to be. So I'm covering my bias bases (bises? biases?) but

Jeesh Tactics Ogre just feels slow. The popup reminding me that I selected a move command slows things down. Archer units being programmed to keep playing hit-and-run slows things down. The number of attacks it takes to take out an enemy unit slows things down. Also I'm missing the button in SRW games to just cycle to your next unit.

Not trying to pour haterade and I plan to go back to Tactics Ogre after running through Emerald Rogue but the pace just felt... striking in comparison.
