how hard can i commit to writing a character's speech in a scottish accent until it is not only awful for all my scottish ancestors, but also everyone reading and myself writing it
Late 20s tgirl. Elf ear pervert. Some say hemipenis girl. Writing mostly original F/F. Stories will frequently be horny so if you're under 18 you're getting blocked.

"in Scottish accent"
Oh no even this lol
Strictly speaking you would be attempting to write someone speaking on the language spectrum between Scots and English.
And Scots has a lot of distinctive spelling, varying by dialects, as well as a varied syntax.
Am no gonny survive this one, am I lol.
Luckily for you i decided that if I committed to this with one character i'd have to commit to it with everybody else who had an accent and while I have enough experience listening to scots to maybe pull it together I can't say the same for anything else, so i will not be embarrassing either you or my mother with this
filing 'write bad scots' away under how to kill both of us at once
I haven't read Feersum Endjinn but I have read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and at least for me I cannot STAND excessive phonetic dialecting
