Subterfuge and Sacrifice
The Fool skulks up the stairs again, in search of morning Glorie.
She discovers the ruined ballroom's door has shut itself tight; when she interrogates the spire, there is only a bland record that the officer with oversight of safety and security has deemed it physically compromised, and therefore unsafe; the tower has correspondingly and permanently sealed it, until such a time as repair can ever be made.
She kicks the door, sharply furious, twice; slides to the floor, back against it, throat thick.
