As I have gotten older, I no longer think Weird Al is very funny, but I do think he is an unusually good songwriter and I would be really excited for him to release an album of original music without jokes in it. Like, I genuinely would love to see what Sincere Al would be moved to sing about if he wasn't constrained by the bit, and what kind of musical influences he would pull from if he was to try to synthesize something that wasn't meant to sound like any particular artist or style.

There was that episode of 30 Rock where he "Normal Al"s a goofy song and turns it into a stirring tribute to the troops, but that's kind of the opposite.
