Max gets challenged to fights a lot for a variety of reasons, so, unless they're actually dangerous or serious, he doesn't care as much.
He also wins most if not all his fights too, pretty easily too, super easier actually

I just LOVE the concept of a guy who is twice most peoples' size and can literally bench press 18-wheelers for fun, is scared anytime that a small person looks at them funny, especially if they're dating...
