This issue was why I don't have my character wear any helmet besides a troll-leather hood - it was removing the nice long hair I'd chosen and made me look completely wrong

That really is the best update they could've done pfff
It's been a -while- since I played it, but I do recall not wanting to wear helmets for the exact same reason :P
