Fumi is 30 year old OL who feels conflicted about not living up to her own image of an ideal modern woman, because she wants to be pampered by a man rather than being able to feel validated through self-love. She uses a matching app recommended to her by a colleague and goes to meet with what she thought was a very attractive man, only to discover they're a woman.
In chapter 3 the protagonist is still trying to use the app to find a man to hook up with, but ends up more interested in befriending a married mother who she then goes to Disneyland with.
I really look forward to reading this series, mostly for how strong it is at conveying the charm and energy of the women.
Volume 1 will be released Oct 8th.
I don't know whether it's a straight series that puts a spotlight on the value of female friendship, but it could quite easily turn out to be a GL series. I personally would prefer the latter, but I don't want to be in a mindset like it would be bad if it's the former.
