I played Witch It on Steam's free weekend of it. It's prophunt with a few extra bells and whistles, and I think prophunt is always a good time.
Though saying that it mostly made me want to play Prophunt in other games.
The matches were only 3 minutes, but felt too long for some maps and too short for others.
I think a lot of the maps were either uninteresting or confusing. Some were simple and mostly flat, others had either really hard to navigate verticality or almost hidden second halves nestled in unintuitive areas.
Also both witches and hunters have powers, but a lot of the powers never felt quite effective to use. They either felt underwhelming or just didn't feel intuitive to use.
For the hunters specifically they have a ranged and melee attack, and I think the cooldown is shared between them but it just reads as a bar on the screen that I couldn't make out how exactly it related to how often I could attack. The melee also had a charge that never seemed to actually function when I wanted to use it.
The props for witches are physics based, which sounds fun on paper. But in practice it mostly results in you feeling slow and getting hung up on other objects, trying to flee and having your prop catch the edge of something and rotate weirdly slowing you way down. It also doesn't particularly add anything for the player, so it's mostly an annoyance. I like the idea of being a turned over flower pot or something, but in game it wouldn't matter much. The stabilize prop button is a nice feature, being able to fine tune how your prop moves to fit in to an area.
Nothing about it really clicked with me other than the witches having a float meter that feels like it should be baked in for both sides.
