Why is this the first thing I see when I boot my Xbox? Commercials on top of Commercials! Sony is no better, but f-off with this nonsense! Sony said they're raising prices of Playstation + so they can continue to bring great content, but last month, and this month...garbage! They keep raising prices, and at some point, it will break. I'm already paying $17 a month for GamePass Ultimate, so why am I subjected to this BS? Both companies actively censor games...seriously, Sony censored Alice Gear (Teen rated) because a characters upper back was exposed, but non Japanese studios can do whatever, and brutal violence is totally okay?
I never would've imagined that Nintendo would be the place to not censor, and allow content for age appropriate customers. It's fucking bizarroworld.

Nah this is different. The dashboard ads are whatever, Sony and MS have always done those, but this is a new level of fuckery. A full screen ad you have to click through never should have gotten past the approval process. Unacceptable.
It probably doesn't seem like a big deal to most, but every inch we give, is a mile to them.
The censoring on Sony and Xbox's behalf is because of the Western, "modern audience" market. Mostly the AMerican one, but it has leaked well into Europe too. Nintendo is keeping things Japanese and also catering to the Western market. And they even say that the age rating boards already do the job!

Yeah, it really annoying, especially when it's a Teen rated game. But Sonys big western studios can do basically whatever 🤷♂️

I hope Playstation goes home to Japan after Ryan leaving, but I doubt it. The West is the biggest market after all.
Also Martha is Dead was censored only on Playstation.
Another pathetic part of this all is the whining crowd are those who would never play these games to begin with, they just want to complain to get attention and ruin the fun for others.
Exactly. I was just making that same point to a friend. It's not just games, but comics (US comics are basically dead at this point), and films as well. The people that they think they're catering to, and the Twitter freaks screaming at clouds, mostly don't even play/read/watch the content in the first place.
Mortal Kombat 1 has some pretty great graphics. The gore detail is wild. They continue to up the ante with fatalities in that regard, but put burkas on the ladies that used to show a little skin.
With Sony's home office in the US now, they'll probably continue doing exactly what they're doing now unfortunately.
Hopefully Nintendo stays the course.
