Devil Engine is a cool horizontal shmup, and the Legend of Tian Ding is a action platformer. One from Japan and one from Limited Run, just happened to deliver on the same day.

Devil Engine is pretty rad. The spritework and animation is fantastic. My favorite shmups are usually vertical, but it's undeniable that a great horizontal shmup (Drainus, Rolling Gunner, etc.) look great on the portable oled, because they can use all of the screen.
Someone here played it earlier this year when it released digitally--sorry, can't remember who--and had positive things to say. Hopefully it holds up when I get a real chance to play it.
