As pieces of art that are also tools that allow the creation of art based on collaborative storytelling and peripheric art form, tabletop role-playing games are both very artisanal crafts but demand a varied of skills - some quite difficult to acquire.

Furthermore, not only are those skills hard to acquire, they are not rewarded. What are the incentives in the industry? How we end up with the games we end up with? If there is money on ttrpgs, where is it coming from? How much really one makes from writing, illustration or Proserfina forbid, game design?
