Episode G is a prequel spinoff to Saint Seiya by Megumu Okada; it's all right, but what really interests me is its follow-ups; Episode G Assassin and Episode G Requiem. I say "follow-ups", but they're really only stylistically related to that prequel, instead forming a sequel to the original series between the two.
They interest me partly because they always take the most nuts turn they can think of at every junction, but mostly because the way they're drawn has only got more and more stylised over the years, until each page has come to resemble an exploding Blingee. It's fascinating to look at. I can't take my eyes off it. It takes me several tries to even begin to follow what's actually being depicted. It's complete chaos. It's an artist expressing his idiosyncracy with complete unrestrained purity. I love it.
