Writing and making games take a lot of effort and focus to edit, test and evaluate. But I can listen to music on repeat, both enjoying it and going "what if I add a cheeky lil da-DUNK right there."
Fine, I'll explain. Dogfooding is a term for sampling your own product. Testing the thing you're producing as if you were a consumer, to actually see if it performs or not. Makes more sense for products and software but I think this tracks for gamedev too.
