I make visual novels! Also play them sometimes. Wish I had time for more of both. I also do a podcast and LPs, because I don't know how to stop myself.

We never actually see what kind of watch Misato wears in Evangelion, but she does wear one. Kind of funny that every kind of tech nerd seemed to work on this show except watch perverts? Perfectly rendered answering machines, cars, beer cans, machinery, etc but all we ever really see of Misato's watch is that it is black with a white dial.

The boring answer here would be that she wears a black G-Shock of some description, maybe a Baby-G. I didn't really want to draw that though and I think if she blew her government paycheck on a classic car she'd probably get a (relatively) flashy watch as well. Kiriums were sporty, flashy, and quartz (I don't see her having any patience for winding or maintaining it beyond battery changes). They were expensive without being expensive. At 36mm it'd be large on her wrist without looking unwieldy, and they dress up or down pretty easily.

side note 1. There's a figurine that shows her with a silver sports watch. I figured compromising with something with a black band but silver watch would be a good middle ground.

side note 2. Not sure what this ad image was promoting, but turn it around! I wanna see what she's rockin' here!

hey folks, new games writing from yours truly over on my Patreon. it's about the way we, collectively, talk about indie games; how they are almost always reduced to a sum of the influences we impose upon them, instead of works that are discussed on their own merit. it's about why and how we do this and why I hate it so much

EDIT: this is now publicly available!! I would love to hear your thoughts below or over on the post itself!
