Him running a second multi-million dollar kickstarter campaign is kind of the nail in the coffin for me, although really it was him absolutely fucking indie authors by being the driving force of a major change to how Audible prices things for indies - a change that he championed as being good for indies but in actuality will directly benefit big name authors like himself and fuck over middle of the road writers which are the majority of authors in indie spaces.
He's a wealthy man playing at being independent, and my heart goes out to friends and mutuals in the TTRPG space now that the cancer has metastasized over to your areas. Get ready to have your every creative endeavor compared unfavorably to him by his legions of fans.
I used to like his books too. But I'm sick to death of him.
Between this and Neil Giaman being revealed to be a monster this has really not been a good year for me in terms of authors I once looked up to. Probably gonna do a longer post about it at some point.
