In the meantime, we’ve released the first single and video for Precious Decisions which is here: https://youtu.be/L6NFw-GgM-U

This effort represents the culmination of five years of writing, recording, and mixing between Baltimore and Osaka, and we couldn’t be more proud of the ownership we’ve had of this album. It’s enabled us to stay true what we’ve always envisioned these songs to be, and was the next logical step in our development as musicians. It’s also allowed us to continue collaborating with some of our dearest friends, without whom this album would not exist. We can’t wait to share it with you.

We released our second record, Mr. Big Picture, in 2018.

"Baltimore’s SURF HARP are particularly adept at blending it into their nervy sound, along with hints of Beefheart, Talking Heads, and all kinds of other goodness." - Bandcamp

"Each song is in and of itself a little independent masterpiece, meticulous in its layering of multiple melodies and fitting imperfections—the fuzzed-out guitar, the fluctuating vocals, the outside-the-box arrangements, the in-your-face creative energy." - Baltimoremag

"The vocal delivery, instrumentation, and incorporation of such a wide array of sound into this ‘computer rock’ really solidifies as one of the best records of the year so far." - post_trash_

So where are we now? Jeff moved to Japan in the Summer of 2018-- we continued writing an album of material internationally while the world burned. Sending demos back and forth over the course of 4 years. Overcoming a pandemic, time zone differences, cultural and language barrier.

In August and September, Jeff came back to the states for an extended visit in which we were able to finish recording LP3 to be released next year. In the meantime, we will be posting pictures from the recording process, stems/teasers of the songs over the next few months.

So join us on an auditory and visual journey as we work through the mixing process towards the realization of LP3– in concept, in tone, and in structure.
