fucking ebay ai descriptions. part of this is literally wrong and the rest is gibberish. why don't we have any way to impose consequences on people for just ruining a chunk of our existence forever for no reason. someone should be shot for making the world worse like this for nothing more than a quarterly bonus. eat shit burn in hell
This is just... a feature ebay has these days. You can task some so-called "AI" to vomit up a description for whatever it is you wanna sell by pressing a button on the listing page.
And yeah, I know that tooltip says "you can review this for accuracy and make edits" but let's be honest here. How many people have actually done that in the entire history of ebay having this feature? Pardon the naked speculation, but I imagine most people who use this feature take whatever the "AI" spews out at face value, accuracy be damned.
Fuck, I'm certain I've seen ebay listings with descriptions saying things like "I decided to use an AI description here, and if any of it is wrong please contact me" on top of the "AI" generated bits. It's utterly disheartening, and that's an understatement.
