As long as mastodon's UI remains incredibly difficult and finding a decent community on there is determined by whether you already had a social circle migrating over there to start with, I can't ever see myself actually existing primarily on any mastodon instance.
"you picked the wrong instance" feels like a poor excuse for an overall lousy, very hollow experience without the pre-existing social circle to bolster it filtered by an interface that makes me resent tweetdeck's entire form factor
