In conjunction with ADHD I have reading processing issues and plenty of friends with dyslexia, show us some courtesy, lmfao. Homestuck did irreparable damage to accessible communication among ND queers with various reading disabilities.
I completely understand having headmates that want to Talk A Certain Way but it had damn well be a way a screenreader can parse or I'll have words for you and you will be unhappy to learn you can definitely read all of them just fine.
honestly if people just took the time to supplement their quirk-addled text with additional spoiler'd alt text that would be great, that would solve the whole problem
Taking up creative writing (in regards to the korps) has been a massive head-shrinker on me for this. I thought good writing was delibrately obtuse, and hamfistedly played up an unreadable accent and tried to make things cryptic. The result was not the depth I hoped to achieve but it made everything feel shallower on the second read-through, and the feedback I got was terrible.
Nothing alike it has hammered home that good communication is clear and concise. Which in of itself, I've got this developing voice as an author that doesn't feel gimmicky.
