The hardest part for me when this happens is always the folks fleeing primarily to spaces I know I won't be able to follow, usually for me because those places have major issues with UI, user friendliness, and site cultures I dont feel safe in - this is particularly hard for me with all the folks going primarily to fediverse places or Tumblr because the former I'm too terrified of this happening again on a dozen smaller scales because of admin drama defederations, and the latter just having the worst UI and letting people make the most unreadable eyestrainy blogs ever (and even if I'm not the most horny type, the whole nsfw thing doesnt exactly make me feel safe, and I've had qualms with the site culture there for years,)
what I liked about here is I could post from the heart without people slamming in to tell me how I'm Bad And Wrong And Secretly A Fascist or something and as far as I can tell that's kinda the norm on Tumblr if a post leaves your circle,
