So I'm explaining my current DND group to my partner Angela, and mention that one person said that they're playing a warforged, and that their name is in hexadecimal.
At which point i launch into this whole thing where hexadecimal makes sense in a world where computers use a binary system, because base 16 is a power of two, so getting things back to binary is very convenient, however, we have no idea what the base system computers use bc we don't know what the properties of fundamental particles are, so it could be base 3, or 4 or whatever.
To which Angela, the love of my life, my moon and my stars, says
"And you said this out loud?"
