Thank you! I think maybe there's still something to be said for communal spaces for making the food (similar to shared makerspaces vs personal sheds) but it's a step
yeah my first thought was getting a bunch of people together to cook one meal for everybody, but that requires someone with a decently big kitchen. i think your idea addresses that
except we can't eat together communally anymore because covid so it doesn't work anymore unless i guess it's a weird subverted potluck where everyone enters the potluck zone to grab their food and then, idk, walk home with it? or eat outside if the weather is good
that only works when it's not bitterly cold or pouring rain (in the case of no overhead structure) outside
Since this is all a hypothetical anyway, I'm imagining a public space with good ventilation. That could be somewhere outdoors when not in the bitter cold, or it could be somewhere with a very good hvac system. Either way, I don't think it's worth getting caught up on edge cases that can be worked around
