@Meitsme asked:

How did you first learn about Cohost?

I used to be pretty hopelessly addicted to Twitter. But sometime in late 2022, I decided I had enough. It wasn't even just the new management, the ENTIRE culture had always been pretty unhealthy for me. So I was looking for new alternatives.

Others on Twitter were as well. This was one of those big exoduses, and the three ones I saw most people talk about were Bluesky, Hive, and Cohost. The first I MIGHT have heard of Cohost was a post like "DON'T GO ON COHOST, THEIR TOS LETS THEM STEAL YOUR CONTENT" and someone was like "...this is literally just the Twitter TOS word for word, and you're on here."

Anyways I did my research, and hopped on Cohost to give it a try. And in the end, I fell in love with it, and left Twitter for good after a few months of using both.

I'mma miss it. It felt right, here.

I'm pretty sure that I first learned about cohost from seeing you mention it on Twitter. I think I later saw that several other speedrunners were coming here, but I think you were the first that made me aware of it. I started regularly checking social media relatively late in life, so although it's not like I was ever "happy" with Twitter, Cohost really opened me up to how much better things can be. So thank you for being vocal about how good Cohost is. My life has been better for it.
