Think this is my favorite take on classic Mega Man, straight up giving me brainrot that has been making me write up stuff for my own characters. Amazing read.
Shoutouts to Dust Man, by the way. Ariga made one of my favorite RMs just even cooler.

coolest (trans) girl on the internet, according to two people. also a pixel artist and gamedev.

“Designed for anything related to farmwork, Vine Man is a complete workaholic who’s farms he works for enjoy an increase of over 500% in productivity. His arms are given the Grasping Vine system, which allows him to get a grasp over objects, plants and even people in very far distances… he can be rather stubborn and has problems forgetting that people can get tired, he’s working on that though.”
Made a re-sprite of an old Mega Man robot master of mine.
I've made a level for this contest a long time ago! Pretty happy to see it near done.
... Just be prepared to play over 100 entry levels, this is quite possibly the biggest Mega Man fangame to date!
This is just a very short 1 level demo, but in what little it's got it definitely captures a bit of why I like the original game (i just think it's neat), the artstyle here is also pretty damn cool and it absolutely fits a Sonic Blast remake.
Even reminded me of my own idea for a Sonic Blast inspired game, which is so far from the original it's honestly really cool to see a take on Sonic Blast that sticks more to the OG. Definitely worth checking out even if it's just one level, may use Sonic Worlds Next too since that's looking pretty good.
Also I somehow managed to skip the boss fight with Knuckles :p
Following up with a Mega Man entry, Y+1 has been in development for a while so this side-game was a pretty nice surprise. Basically this is a small game with 9 short stages with varying difficulty, 3 bosses, you choose 2 weapons to use per stage. Lasts an hour if you are good at the game... took me a day to get through it.
As a look into what Y+1 will be, it's really cool, and as it's own thing is also really cool.
Weapons are unique and they are all pretty great, the stages are really creative and got some good design (the hard stages aren't kidding, they are hard.)
It's also got some solid accessibility options which will be in the main game! Haven't used them but they seem really good from what I've seen in the options for them, and you get something really nice for completing all 9 stages.
It's good to see another game in the same style as the Christmas Carol series (check that one out too, it's really good!) And I hope to see more small fangames like this one.
(I'm also hoping that the weapons in this game are added as unlockables to Y+1 when it releases because they are really, REALLY fun to play with.)
