For all that people dismiss games like Jump King and Only Up as Rage Games For Streamers, they really carry the bones of classic arcade games far more than "legitimate" retro games that have more modern ideas about how a game shouldn't actively fuck over the player
I don't include Getting Over It as a rage game exactly because that's more like Bennett Foddy's Unabomber manifesto in game form
so my favourite thing about Only Up specifically is after watching it last night, just the moments when it wants you to be 'hey, you fucked up, you should have known better' dark souls of jumping puzzles, just before, like walking along a railroad track with huge empty holes in it that your character can stand on
