Anonymous User asked:

If you was gonna introduce a friend of roughly your own age to TTRPGs and they was completely unfamiliar with that sort of gaming, what game(s) would you use for the introducing?

If it was me and I was there free to talk then though it I would be very specific and very thorough. I'd listen to them and see that appeals to them about the idea, that kind of thing.

But in a broad general way, though, I would recommend a starter like fiasco or dog bear, if they have the previous genre interest in the ideas of these stories. If they're looking for something more generally crunchy I might kick off with a pbta like monster of the week.

And failing that, if they've got a pre-existing world interest in star wars I'd kick off with scum and villainy.

But yeah: dog bear or fiasco for absolutely new players who are interested in the improv narrative element.
