noble templar is a card I've put in a lot of decks because it does a job white decks often needed and had something for later on. A friend even made a statuette of the noble templar. Good card! We got a new Alabaster Host Intecessor, which is... similar.
For -2 toughness and -vigilance, you get the Banisher Priest ability, right? That implies a Maned Serval, a 1/4 vigilance for 2, could be a 1/2 banisher priest for 2. Which... honestly doesn't sound like a huge problem? Like it's definitely strong, but it's not completely out of pocket compared to the banisher priest. Aerial Responder could be a 2/1 flying, lifelink banisher priest (wew). Benalish Faithbonder could be a 1/1 Enlist Banisher Priest...?
But really funny is Huatli's Raptor: GW for a 2/1 banisher priest that proliferates on etb. How delightfully silly.
