something i think these wrapups are teaching me is that if you're at all serious about a hobby, you'll be in roughly the 10th percentile. i saw the same thing on strava and, while i did a lot of exercise, i'm not a stereotypical exercise person and also had multiple months of near 0 recorded exercise due to injuries.
i think the average in both cases is dragged down by a long tail of people who used the service once and never again
