while I'm complaining about custom magic it's wild to deal with 2023, a year of people complaining that the cards I'm designing are too weak, to then complain in one month of 2024 that they're too powerful when everything I'm doing I can point to clear precedents in the game that are better.
Like is it just that I'm smarter and better than everyone? I don't think so, but I keep getting this baffling pair of approaches that 'this is op, op' and 'this is unplayable op.'
I don't really know Magic but from when I tried to get back into yugioh I learnt that 1. It's really hard to assess a card without trying it out and 2. Most people don't have that many cards in their heads.
What I'm saying is that you could probably submit a card that already exists and nobody uses and someone would tell you it was overpowered.
