EDIT: For context, a discussion of the locked tomb as a school AU, I mentioned it'd be nice because I'd be able to see them going to classes like I did, in school, rather than an American school. To which I got the response that 'hey, they're fictional characters, they could go ANYWHERE,' like -

Honestly, it feels like I've had to seriously work to undo that additude myself. I wonder just how super-deeply rooted it is into our culture and upbringing. Maybe there's a study out there, or something.
