The closest thing to a traditional capitalist "dream" I have is opening my own video store in my hometown like this, but sadly I wonder if my area is a physical media desert because nobody around here cares about it anymore.

Which just means I'd have to make it a really fuckin cool video store like this one that could potentially sustain itself on non-local revenue.

also lmao would be fun to just throw some of my other random interests in there, like "Pendell's Video Rental and Fine Stationery" where we have boutique blu-rays and sell fountain pens and Japanese letter kits, y'know, normal kind of store like that.

LOVE going to scarecrow. it's also becoming our sole "this is where we buy home video" place because they either have what we want (paprika 4k uhd!) or can get it really easily for us (the twin peaks C U B E). also everyone who works there is a huge nerd. it's great. highly recommend everyone check it out.
