A friend's discord account got hacked yesterday and the hackers tried to convince me to download and test/bug report a game (that was a trojan). Since it was an out of the blue request from a long absent friend, I figured I'd look at it later, and make sure I didn't run it on my main computer or in a safe mode or something, but I did check around.
Anyway, the trojan they set up has a whole fuckin' website and everything, meant to look like a fake itch page, made with blogger. Weird shit.
I had a friend hit with similar, except it was just a Discord link to an .exe...
The friend ran their own server, and got their wife to get most of us to a back up server to talk (so we knew it was them and they were real, etc.)
Then the "hacker" tried to get me to download the game. I asked if my friend got their account back, the hacker said yes, and I should run the game. I said I would try, but I don't use Windows, at which time they just ghosted me. :(
