I don't know why, but I felt i must.
Initial impressions:
- Would've been nice to have a pointing device. There's supposed to be some kind of built-in mouse emulation but I can't get it to work.
- The screen is not gonna win any awards, but it's serviceable
- The sound is very quiet and the tinny speakers blow out easily. they also sometimes cause interference with the panel?
- The keyboard is too damn small. You will not be comfortably writing anything on this. It's not even consistently small, the keys on the right suddenly feel smaller than the left, as if they ran out of space before they finished designing it. This really needed to be half a gain as large, but ig that'd defeat the purpose.
Yet all of these complaints seem rather nitpicky in comparison to the part of my brain that's like OMG ITS SMOL AND PLAYS DOOM.
I figure worse comes worse, I can still hook it to a spare monitor and it can take over for my current tiny DOS device, which is the very very buggy Next86 core for the original MiST.
