I've seen some shitty captchas shared by others that blow this out of the water but god damn this is the worst one I have ever encountered in the wild on my own.
Like, I try to imagine using the internet if you are not a turbo nerd like me. What would it be like to be confronted by stuff like this if you have very limited or no prior exposure to computers, but you just are forced into using them because we keep increasingly structuring our society around everyone being able to participate in the internet? What would go through my head seeing this then? What goes through my head when every god damn site has a big banner talking about consent for 'cookies'? What the fuck is a 'cookie' even? Why am I asked to do a fucking fever-dream puzzle where I need to compare the life time of a hamburger and a stick of glue in order to transfer money?
Every website absolutely requiring ad blocking in order to be usable, but ad blocking being something requiring an above-basic level of technical literacy to install or even being aware of. Your OS scraping your screen, your browser history, never letting you opt out unless you know how to use regedit and how to search the internet for what keys to change (and repeat using it after every OS update).
Fuck, man. Technology is embarrassing. The sun is shining so I'm going outside.
