its been a while since ive posted an update on the KITTY computer, i should do that sometime lol
I would really love to have this computer available as a kit, unfortunately with me being a broke student with no funds, that's a bit of a pipedream atm
anyways some pictures of the computer's case :)
future versions will likely be using low profile keyboard switches instead (redragon's seem the cheapest), as to provide better ergonomics, considering the height of the case
so cool!!! is that a custom cable for the keyboard or something else?
not sure if you mean the big cable on the back? that's a scart av connector to hook the system up to a tv
the keyboard is connected to the motherboard via a pair of ribbon cables inside the case (keyed so you can't put them the wrong way round), its a simple matrix that the cpu reads directly through 5 io registers, each returning the state of 8 of the keys
oh yeah that makes sense, I think I was falling asleep when I looked at this lol... ur keyboard design was super helpful for understanding how to set up the keyboard matrix on my own project and I think I got some wires crossed in my head!
