I’m sure Makeship makes perfectly fine products, but seeing almost every YouTuber on the planet collab with them makes me somewhat weary of them. Like, I’ve seen so much stuff where a service or product sponsores everyone they can, but the actual product is pure shit, or they put no actual effort into it (i.e. something like NordVPN having shit security). Also, I just don’t really like their business model that much; I mean, I do like the idea that they’re only making as many products as there is demand, meaning no unsold stock ends up in a landfill, but I hate going to a Makeship link and seeing “BUY NOW only 15 days, 11 hours, 31 minutes and 55 seconds remaining! BUY NOW OR IT’LL BE OUT OF STOCK FOREVER”. Just kinda feels like one of those shitty infomercials, where they’re trying to presure you into buying, but having all types of ticking timers and keep going “ONLY TODAY”.
I dunno, whatever. Always remember: YouTubers aren’t your friends, and they’ll happily tell you how great a bullshit product is.
