This is the painting I have always been the most proud of. Featuring one of my twelve Aberdork United characters, Echo Gris, who forms part of the ensemble cast. A Half-french, Half-Japanese Bakemata.
There is always so much to talk about with anything related to Aberdork United, its a setting I've been building for more than a decade. I conceptualized it just to deal with the loneliness I felt in university doing forensic science at the time, and daydreaming daily about a group of friends and acquintances hanging out and going on adventures, honestly, it helped. It helped a lot, more than I'd ever be comfortable admitting to any therapist.
It has been a dream of mine to make sure that their stories don't die when I do, and to get them into somekind of format others can pick-up and read and enjoy for themselves. I always wanted to be a webcomic artist, and having survived suicide (2012) and pulmonary mycosis (2021) I realize I am not going to be around forever.
We always think we have more time than what we actually do.
