so in disgaea 5 there's a revenge meter, your guys can go into revenge mode and there are various things that raise the meter, one of which includes an ally getting killed in battle
so i completely flubbed this stage in the item world (ah, hubris) where i was like yeah whatever just go punch the boss fenrich it'll be fine it's deathblow, NOT REALIZING HE WAS ALSO STANDING ON A DEATHBLOW PANEL (as the name implies it turns any hit into a KO)
and val's revenge mode is that he turns into his tyrant form for a couple turns, and it kicks ass, he's so strong. anyway it activated right when fenrich died, which actually happened a lot while i played because i use them all the time of course. i just loved seeing it every time it happened. what a thrill.
