I have to leave in about a half hour to see a judge who gets to decide if I'm allowed to keep my disability benefits. I'm already exhausted, in pain, and barely able to focus, because this is often how my days go.
I tried to get a lawyer, lawyers don't like taking Continuing Disability Review cases because there's no money in it. Disabled people have exceptionally low disability income, and there's no past due disability income for them to get a cut of. So no lawyer. No one to help me understand what's in my case file, which I did try to go through but I can barely understand. And no idea what I'm supposed to do if I'm told the judge doesn't believe me when I honestly say it's all I can do to care for myself one day to the next.
So... here's hoping it works out, because I really have done all I can at this point.
