How could you crush my heart like that Nintendo, in a Pokemon game.

I have been enjoying my time with PMD Sky but oh my god I swear the script could probably be cut down by a third if they took out all the repetition. The protagonist and partner each both love to repeat everything someone else has said, often multiple times, unfolding sentences like origami. Almost like they're making sure each word in the sentence has its definition explained. They're like parrots.

I have been playing PMD Sky for the first time and I am really fascinated by the fact the story so far as gone out of its way to worldbuild how this little adventuring village of creatures works. That it has a Diglett and Dugtrio maintaining base security and an updating billboard of clients/criminals.

Like, yeah that's Normal Competent Writing but I think the fact it does it with creatures is interesting. I guess this is what they call xenofiction - to explore the intricacies of a decidedly nonhuman society? Maybe I just usually don't have faith that sort of thing is even considered by human (ie. non-furry/kin) writers.

So I started playing PMD Sky recently. (With the Expanded Sky romhack that adds a few new starters.)

I called my Team "Team". Team Team. An exploration team.

I am going to be giggling every time this comes up.
