just had a ratatouille moment with some random leftovers
... i really would make a good Gluttony demon. Not the gorger sort, no, a gourmet. A gentlepus-ly sort who you'd sit down to dine with as they discuss the meal.
The savory, buttery mashed potatos brings out a delicate sweetness in the tarragon-mustard cream chicken that i had found wanting when it was served with pasta or rice, and the sauce makes an excellent light gravy. I believe a second vegetable side would round out this meal perfectly, perhaps sauteed broccolini? Tender and mild enough to not overshadow or be overshadowed by the rest of the dish, but with a welcome acidity and mild spice, as well as a satisfying crunch <3
