if youre gonna do "rss feeds" in 2024 just use atom instead. it sucks less, doesn't require pervert date formats, can directly embed html without marking it as CDATA etc. And every feed reader has supported it for forever

^yes this^. when i say "rss" what I mean is "atom". i'd like to just say "atom" but it doesnt have brand recognition like "rss" does

even the so-called rss link on my website just returns an atom feed. you should use atom too
