Book you realize how nuts that sounds, right? Gender is not a copyrightable thing, and the second you tweak it, it is now your gender thing, and it will expand from there
on some level yes i know it's absurd to think anyone would have a problem with how i express my gender identity; i just wanna make sure i'm not stepping on anyone's toes when i do, or..

It is impossible to exist and take up no space, if you do not move for fear of stepping on toes you may never take a step in your life, and the people who play around with gender are really not going to be people who care. Be bold in this.
The way I see it, gender is closer to a look than an art piece, and stealing one's look (especially if you're making it your own) is 100% valid.
I have a very limited experience in these matters, but folks seeing something that resonates with them and going "oh gender" just seems to be how folks find themselves!
No. You don't even know what gender shit's possible until you see someone else do it. Go for it.
