For reference and easy archival once I have the time to export them

The Steam Next Fest demo round-ups
those were a lot of fun to do! last one was way too ambitious and took me the better part of a month but I'm glad I got it done
June 2023 Steam Next Fest
February 2024 Steam Next Fest
June 2024 Steam Next Fest:
Vampires games
Known Quantities
Narrative games
Combat games
Puzzle games

Long-ish Videogame Thoughts
I had plans for maybe more of those (like one about Vampire Therapist which is really smartly written and takes his subject of therapy more seriously than the vampire gimmick implies), but it is what it is
The Big Top 35 List
Model Employee
Death Trick: Double Blind
The Tartarus Key

Arkham Horror Projects
only the one project, really. I just started working on a full campaign but don't have much to show besides reference documents and hastily scribbled google docs
Custom Julia Sowinski Investigator
Mood Playlist for the Campaign

Miscellaneous
ok I don't know how memorable those actually are but they make me laugh when I reread them so
Why Tales from the Empire was ultimately disappointing
KOTOR 2 is a very functional video game
My expertly researched Hayate X Blade yuri graph
the CARAMBAR NAMEDROP coming out of nowhere in the Girls und Panzer movies

Feeling pretty terrible at the news, tbh

I have never been a big poster; I looked at various forums from afar, sometimes lurking through threads regularly, but too shy to sign up and start posting. When I eventually found the courage to join some... it was too late, really. A lot of places had closed, others had steadily become less and less active. Twitter was nice, for a time, but in recent years it has turned into a new circle of hell. Discords are the hot new thing, and I just don't vibe with them. Dozens of different servers with dozens of active chatrooms that are impossible to catch up on if you're not logged on while the conversation is happening. Searching for a funny message you remember that's more than a week old is an exercise in futility.

And you know, for someone like me, Cohost was great. Just a pleasant place to be in and appreciate some insightful, long, detailed posts or just chuckle at a quick-fire shitpost at the top of the page. I looked up tags to find new people to follow, learned interesting trivia here and there, and sometimes a burst of inspiration hit at the right time and I would write some big effort post about my current obsession! Some kind of video game, usually. I wish I had managed to post more; I planned to make a series of posts about the games I played each month, but lost motivation very quickly. I wanted to translate my big end of year GOTY lists from previous years, and post the new ones here too; the translation took a lot of time, so I kept putting it off. Some after play reports of my Blades in the Dark campaign... Alas. I'm still proud of a few posts I made here, so I will try to export a copy to my wordpress for archival.

If you're interested in the custom Arkham Horror campaign (Vampire the Masquerade-themed) I'm working on, keep an eye on the Arkham Horror reddit I guess, it will pop up there when (if? nah let's have faith) I get it finished. Same account name over there. I've got twitter and bluesky accounts, but I don't think I'm going to spend a lot more time there than I currently do; I can feel myself getting actively annoyed when I scroll my feed longer than 5 minutes.

Thank you for all the yuri screencaps, for the essays about noir literature, for the mystposting, for the numerous Steam Nextfest demo reviews, for the fun Star Wars/AMCA fandom, for making me read Liar Satsuki Can See Death, an all-time favorite. Thank you @Staff for making this website and keeping it running as long as it did. Thank you to all the people I followed, and the ones that were kind enough to comment on my posts. You all have been lovely people and I will miss this place :eggbug-sob::eggbug-sob::eggbug-sob:

I have no idea what the crossover between Vampire fans and Arkham Horror enthusiasts looks like, but if you're in there like me: I made a custom investigator inspired by Julia Sowinski, the main character from Shadows of New York!

I'm really happy with the result, you can read my design notes on the reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/arkhamhorrorlcg/comments/12hatgu/custom_investigator_julia_sowinski_from_vampire/
