I started watching Babylon 5 for the first time and, I have to admit I'm a bit "lmao" at the acting so far (and that CGI, oh god), but damn if I didn't miss watching some wild ass sci-fi with goofy costumes and interesting politics going on in the background. I know it has a reputation as a cult favourite, so I'm excited to see it get there

The first season definitely has an enormous "no, seriously, this isn't Star Trek" chip on its shoulder, with my favorite example that idiotic grabbing-claw. But once it settles in, it's basically a continuous (and good) story, despite a couple of "but what if the network doesn't renew us?" season finales...
