Progress report: I have a good idea of the design of each scenario, and the campaign mechanics. Also have most of the locations and enemies figured out. Currently, I'm struggling with finding ideas for all the encounter cards; and I can't think of a good name for the campaign (they struck gold with Bloodlines, it's hard to think of something as evocative and to the point).

Anyway, playlist under the cut:

I found a title for the campaign! One I don't currently hate at least, we'll see if it keeps.
The provisional title is: Blood Never Lies - a Vampire the Masquerade campaign.

I feel confident in the scenario names:

  1. Bloody Awakening
  2. Arkham by Night
  3. Among Friends
  4. Clandestine Drinking
  5. Rage Against the Tower
  6. Trial by Fire
  7. Descent into Hell
  8. Prince of Darkness

Still have to figure out a lot of treacheries but I started making cards in Strange Eons! I would love to have the first scenario ready for testing in a month or two.

I've been getting back into Arkham Horror after taking a long break in the middle of a campaign (moving will do that to you) and, you know what, this game is still fun as hell!
Two things:

  1. Hemlock Vale is really really good. I'm not a Scarlet Keys hater, I loved the choose-your-own-adventure globetrotting and the conspiracy thriller vibes, but this is a tighter, refined version of the design. The Wicker Man theme feels fresh and interesting, the little character sidequests are a good way to integrate story and choices inside the game, the Longest Night is a nightmare of a scenario(complimentary). They finally figured out how to make a Parley investigator and they knocked it out of the park, Alessandra is so fun to play.

  2. I got hit by the idea bug and I've started designing a Vampire the Masquerade custom campaign! It's gonna take at least a year (optimistically!) before this thing is in playable form, but I can feel all my synapses firing while I'm writing all these ideas in concept documents and it's been a while since I had that good creative juice flowing through. Bring it on!

I have no idea what the crossover between Vampire fans and Arkham Horror enthusiasts looks like, but if you're in there like me: I made a custom investigator inspired by Julia Sowinski, the main character from Shadows of New York!

I'm really happy with the result, you can read my design notes on the reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/arkhamhorrorlcg/comments/12hatgu/custom_investigator_julia_sowinski_from_vampire/
