This one is for the French-speaking (well, -reading) audience:

A game in the style of A Normal Lost Phone has been released two days ago, it's available online for free: Enquête du Téléphone
It gives a pretty realistic and chilling view of what could happen if the RN (the main far-right party) won the elections. It's very matter of fact, not some kind of dystopian sci-fi. Most of the situations depicted are already part of French society to some degree, and yet it's scary to think about it going so far. Very well written, and even the game part is pretty good with some nice puzzles. Check it out if that sounds interesting, and if you're allowed to vote in the current elections, go vote (Front Populaire)!

Phew, this is the last one. I am NOT playing 30+ demos again for future Next Fests, let me tell you

Arranger - A Role-Puzzling Adventure: GREAT
Delightful puzzle game, I love having sliding tiles puzzles that aren't bloody Sokoban. I don't have any more patience for getting crates stuck in a corner, sorry. Here the puzzles are based around sliding entire rows and columns that loop around, which can get tricky but feels fresh, and you never get in a unwinnable position. The writing is cute and light but not cloying, and it's really funny to see the chaos you cause around the village just trying to get somewhere.

LA BAGARRE

Bloodless: GREAT
The 'black and white with color accents' style really makes the art pop in this one. Love the animated backgrounds full of effects: birds and fish, fireflies buzzing around the lanterns, the atmosphere is really good. You play an old ex-samurai lady who only fights unarmed, so the combat is entirely based on parrying and disarming opponents. It's challenging but quite satisfying! The demo is substantial and left me wanting to play the full game asap

This set is for those who like to read them words!

Nobody Nowhere: Good
Some sort of complex power struggle in a research lab doing clone/cyborg experiments. Interesting, but it's hard to follow the motivations of all the characters involved. The main mechanic, besides just walking around, seems to be navigating mazes and memorizing hidden paths, which is a little boring imo
