Who would win the desire of wanting to write a bespoke setting that's not eager to explain itself OR the ADHD mood of needing to over-explain everything you say so it can't be taken the wrong way.

Sorry if this was rhetorical but...
Personal experience says the first for as long as you can bear it, cause the second option would simply take too much of the players' time and attentions. Then when they start making connections, the second because - oh god no - how did you possibly try to connect those two- we haven't even MET anyone from that group- shit wait let me explain.
