In early April, inspired by Cohost's issues at the time with users unable to upload images or audio, I drew ANSI art of Takami Bluesky, protagonist of my game Cyber Purge, in a fashion that would allow for me to post the rendered result as a data URI around a kilobyte in size. Thus, it was drawn as a 40x25-character black-and-white image with an 8x8 font and mainly using solid blocks, to reduce the amount of data that would be encoded when the image is rendered. The resulting 320ร200px PNG image, run through file optimizers, is 667 bytes... and is thus ~22% the size of the ANSI art file it was rendered from!
