In early April, inspired by Cohost's issues at the time with users unable to upload images or audio, I drew ANSI art of Takami Bluesky, protagonist of my game Cyber Purge, in a fashion that would allow for me to post the rendered result as a data URI around a kilobyte in size. Thus, it was drawn as a 40x25-character black-and-white image with an 8x8 font and mainly using solid blocks, to reduce the amount of data that would be encoded when the image is rendered. The resulting 320×200px PNG image, run through file optimizers, is 667 bytes... and is thus ~22% the size of the ANSI art file it was rendered from!
