For their birthday, Flygon's flurret gets a slice of the biggest watermelon I could find. Happy birthday!

Technical stuff The day I originally drew this, I learned that VESA-compatible Super VGA cards are capable of a never-used 80×60 text mode with an 8×8 font (mode 108h), leading to a pixel aspect ratio of exactly 1:1. So of course, the first picture I drew for that mode was the flurret receiving a slice of the biggest watermelon I could find, because I'm silly like that. :D

Flurret (December 30-31, 2023)

The very last piece of art I drew for 2023 was this piece of ANSI gift art for retro hardware enthusiast Flygon, drawn purposefully in a style unlike any piece of art they had previously commissioned. This was also drawn for the "legacy" pixel aspect ratio of 4:3, since this critter is well-familiar with the need to reproduce the video displays of classic hardware accurately. This piece was started for them in the wake of their Twitch channel (FlygonBreloom) getting a big raid by someone notable, and as of January 5, 2024, they are now a Twitch Affiliate!
